Woman charged with recent Tremont burglaries …

TREMONT, Nov. 13, 2020 – A 39-year-old woman with a history of drug abuse who was released from prison in February was arrested in connection with burglaries in the Seal Cove area in October.

Tina Sieber, a transient who served two years in prison for an August 2017 car theft and burglaries in Bar Harbor, was charged Tuesday with several counts of theft and burglaries in Seal Cove, according to Hancock County’s sheriff’s department.

Southwest Harbor police which assisted in the case said Sieber was spotted by residents coming out of the woods in the area.

“We were able to gather credible information where Sieber was hiding and by the late afternoon on 11/10/20, Sieber was located hiding in a camper that she had illegally entered at a local Campground,” said Lt. Tim Cote of the sheriff’s department.
